Operations Management Consulting

Principally, we are operations management consultants (Operations Management aims to increase the content of value-added activities in any given process) applying systems approaches like Lean in healthcare. We developed our skills and reputation in the field of mental health, an area that we all feel passionate about and one which we knew would be tough. Since then we have branched out considerably and been commissioned to work in primary care, more mainstream health services, emergency services and industry.

Training, Workshops and Seminars

Our focus is frontline led transformation of services, improving quality and reducing cost. During the course of our interventions we develop approaches and training modules which we expect to need as we address similar problems in the future. Such training is meant as an adjunct to Lean intervention, but may be use as a standalone solution in some cases. We have developed training in: mission analysis and action planning (used to develop operating plans which empower frontline staff), Lean intervention leader coaching, search training devised to help ward staff halt the ingress of illicit drugs, weapons and dangerous objects and situational and threat awareness to help community based staff to protect themselves while at work in the community. Operational Due Diligence

Operational due diligence (ODD) is a vital capability for healthcare organisations particularly as PCTs divest themselves of their provider services and ‘mergers’ and ‘take over’s’ have to be undertaken. The same capability is also key in the preparation of tender responses and for CQC inspection if you want a real picture. Poor ODD may lose clients the tender race or worse, return to haunt the client organisation later.
